If you are interested in making a booking to use Stoke St Milborough Village Hall for a private or public event, please bear the following in mind before you enquire... The Committee currently comprises of members who are in full-time employment. Please therefore be patient in giving us the time to get back to you. Please enquire at least SIX WEEKS ahead of your event. This is to enable the Committee to discuss your proposed event at our next Committee meeting and to ensure that we will have sufficient numbers of Committee members available to open up/close up/staff the event, as required. (Funeral wakes are an exception to this rule. We will always endeavour to make the Hall available for such events at short notice.) The more flexible you are able to be with dates/timings, the easier it will be for us to fit your event into our schedule. Consider which facilities in particular you may require in order to make your event work successfully, e.g. kitchen, bar, projector, music... The more we know about this early on, the more likely it is that we will be able to fulfil your wishes.
When we have discussed your proposed event with all Committee members and if we are in a position to accept the booking, we will send you a more detailed booking form, which will include pricing and payment information. Payment in full is required 48 hours before the date of your intended event.
HIRE CHARGES (as of 1 January 2025)
Basic Hire fee for the building (including Hall, Kitchen and/or Committee Room): £6 per hour (£48 per day)
If you require heating in any area of the building, this is charged separately at an additional rate of £3 per hour.
If you require use of the kitchen, power to the kitchen appliances is charged separately at an additional rate of £3 per hour.
Wedding Hire: Fixed Fee of £240, to cover your set-up day, the wedding day itself, the day after for clearing up and bar staffing during the event.

We have the following available to rent for anyone who can collect them using their own boxes and transport, and bring them back at a mutually convenient time.

A cash deposit will be required at our discretion and a small donation to the Village Hall's maintenance funds will be expected in return for the hire.

Stoke St Milborough Village Hall is an ideal location for village activities and has hosted many village hall events, parties, dances, weddings, meetings, and elections. As well as the main hall there is a committee room, bar and kitchen facilities. The main hall has a standing capacity of 110 people and has a stage, a sprung floor and is licensed for music. Cushioned chairs and trestle tables are also available to use. There is a large modern kitchen with a hatch to the main hall. Facilities include a range cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle, hot water urns and crockery. We have a well stocked and reasonably-priced bar available for functions and regular village inn nights are held. We also have a committee room suitable for small family gatherings or meetings. The room is accessible from the outside or through the main hall and has cushioned chairs and tables. There is level wheelchair access to the hall and a disabled toilet. The main hall also has a hearing loop.
