Burwarton and District Gardening Club first met in 1970. Fifty five years on, we are a small, friendly and thriving club, who meet on the second Thursday of the month from October to May in Stoke St Milborough Village Hall. Our programme of events is varied and so there is something for everyone regardless of gardening interests or ability and all are welcome.

Potato Competition
Hopefully you took a seed potato (Nicola) at the February meeting and will take part in our fun competition. I have attached the instructions below for anyone who has not taken part before. Good luck!
If you were not at the meeting and would like to take part, the seed potatoes will be available at the next meeting on Thursday 13th March.

Potato Competition Instructions
One seed potato is given to each member at the February meeting (or soon after if not in attendance)
The seed potato should be chitted and then planted in a bag or large pot to make harvesting the crop easy
Potatoes are harvested on or near to a date given in July and the weight recorded and sent to the Secretary.
Weights are collated by the Secretary and the winning weight is published.
A £10 prize is given to the winner, who also provides the seed potatoes for the following year’s competition.
